It's amazing to me, that when trouble comes people turn to church then away from it when things are ok, the issue isn't the church the issue is you & God. Because it can't be just about the building it has to be about the condition of your heart towards God. Whether or not your going to be fully committed because God doesn't leave us we leave God. So God cannot be and is not lost but you may be.
